Who We Are

Fostering Happy Childhoods for Nearly 40 Years.

Friends of Foster Children of Palm Beach County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of children, families, and caregivers impacted by the foster care system.

Friends of Foster Children was born from a shared belief that every child deserves a safe, stable, and loving childhood — and that no caregiver should have to navigate the child welfare system alone.

We are the result of a merger between two longtime Palm Beach County organizations — the Foster and Adoptive Parents Association and Friends of Abused Children. That union gave rise to a new, unified vision: to provide the services, support, and education needed to overcome the effects of child abuse and neglect, and to be the positive change agent our community needs.

For nearly 40 years, we have shown up for foster families, kinship caregivers, fathers, and young adults preparing for independence. We are proud to serve as a Family Success Center at the heart of child welfare in Palm Beach County, uniquely positioned to support the whole family at every stage of the journey.
