KINSHIP NAVIGATION
You Stepped Up. We've Got You.
When a relative or family friend opens their home to a child in need, they do something extraordinary. Our Kinship Navigation program makes sure they never have to do it alone.
About The Kinship Navigation Program
A kinship caregiver is any relative or familiar nonrelative who steps in to care for a child with whom they already have an established relationship. This could be a grandparent, an aunt, an uncle, a sibling, or a trusted family friend. These placements are invaluable: they allow children to remain connected to the people they know and love, preserving a sense of familiarity, stability, and belonging during one of the most uncertain times of their lives.
At Friends of Foster Children, our purpose with the Kinship Navigation program is simple: to make sure every caregiver feels heard, seen, and fully equipped with the resources they need to care for the child in their home — comfortably and confidently.
In 2025, our Kinship program served 1,886 clients across Palm Beach County.
