At Friends of Foster Children, we believe that fathers play a vital role in the growth, success, and emotional well-being of their children. Our Fatherhood Program is designed to support, guide, and uplift fathers as they navigate the child welfare system and their parenting journey.
Through evidence-informed practices and trusted community partnerships, our program ensures fathers have access to the resources, tools, and encouragement they need to thrive—for themselves and their families.
Our Services Include:
- Application Assistance: Get help applying for Access Florida benefits such as food assistance, cash assistance, ELC, and WIC.
- Resume Building & Career Development: We support fathers in preparing for the workforce and planning a fulfilling career path.
- Fatherhood Support Groups: Connect with other fathers in a safe, judgment-free space to share experiences, learn, and grow.

Our Fatherhood Navigator serves as a personal point of contact for dads in the child welfare system, helping them access essential resources and stay connected to their children. From filling out forms to understanding court processes, we walk alongside fathers every step of the way.
