This program provides Emergency Bags for children who have been removed from their home due to abuse and neglect. It is not uncommon for children to be removed from the family home with only the clothes on their backs. As a result, children are in immediate need for the most basic of items such as socks, underwear, shoes, clothing, pajamas, hygiene items, baby supplies and diapers, school supplies and backpacks. It is essential that each child have items that are theirs and they can hold onto during the difficult transition into foster care. Friends of Foster Children provided over 1,000 emergency bags to newly removed children last year.
In addition to providing emergency bags, Resource Connections provides access to gently used clothing and equipment such as walkers, strollers, cribs, and car seats as well as refurbished computers.
